Have you ever had one of those days when you simply had to dip into the chocolate chips? No bones about it, this is one of those days. All the chocolate Santa left in my stocking is long gone, and I couldn’t quite bring myself to snitch some of Chris’s, although I did think about it. Sometimes I hide a bit of chocolate in a drawer for an emergency, but not the tiniest bit was to be found….anywhere! Chocolate chips it had to be, and I’m mighty grateful for them.
Since Thanksgiving we have been on a roller coaster of a ride. Come to think of it, the ride actually started last summer…or maybe that was just the first go ’round, but at any rate the car came to a stop today and we have stepped off for a while.
The day before Thanksgiving we made an offer to buy a beautiful piece of property; a magical piece of property with fir trees that reached tall into the sky, in a area with neighbors ready to welcome us. It was quiet, peaceful, convenient; with room for house, garden, workshop, and even chickens!
It seemed the perfect place to build our next smaller nest of a home. Alas, our only concern has been confirmed, there is not enough water. I am disappointed, this morning I was downright blue, but fortunately I don’t stay down for long. A good long walk in the sunshine with Miss Millie (after days and days of heavy fog) brightened my spirits considerably and another stiff cup of tea along with those chocolate chips has helped even more.
There is something better for us out there. The little angel on my desk just caught my eye. “Yes, be patient” she sings, “something just right awaits.” We’re counting on it!

oooh I have to hide a bit of chocolate myself :) but I have no qualms about snitching a bit of someone elses LOL …
That is a beautiful spot Dori, but you are so right…the perfect place for you is out there and you will find it or it will find you . (())

Thank you, sweet Francie. I’m trying hard to be patient! Good things are worth waiting for.

Some days just demand chocolate! And now, I’m going to take a deep breath and try to settle into trust mode. :)

Oh yeah! Chocolate chips never last very long in my wee pantry. Very soothing. Sending a little prayer to the universe for your perfect place in time. xo
Dori says
And I will do the same for you! xo
