Spring greetings! I’m happy to say I have reopened my shop and you will find the Spring Collection of teas ready for you. Several of the teas will only be available for a short time or until sold through. One, Organic Cherry Rose Sencha, I am so pleased to have in stock again. When I had my little island shop, I carried the same tea, but in its conventional form. When I was deciding on something special to order for the season, I glanced out my office window and spied the swelling buds of our neighbors flowering cherry trees and this tea popped into my mind. Infusion is light, but with nice body, and has a delicious cherry flavor with hints of rose. It has the most lovely fragrance. If you are curious about any of the teas in the spring collection, you may order a sample to try, a small gift from me to you with any order you place. Available samples will change with the season. One per order, please.
As a gardener, I always welcome spring, but this year my relief and happiness at this sweet season’s arrival is greater than ever. There are so many concerns out there in the greater world to weigh down one’s spirit; but the inevitable turning of the seasons, the faithfulness of Nature and her gifts, brings joy and hope. Embrace the warmth of the sun and the cheer of spring blossoms, for these restore the spirit and bring hope. One cannot slay dragons without hope.
As many of you already know, and others have surmised, we lost my father in January. While we miss him terribly, we find peace knowing we did all that we could for him and he is at rest. With the support of family and dear friends, my mother is doing well; and as is the way with life and its seasons, my family will have two weddings to celebrate, one in May and the other in September. Preparations for these, and a few other special events, will keep me busy this year. Because of that, I will be closing my shop here and there throughout the year. I’ll add a page to my website with closures and order deadlines, as these become clearer. First closure will be April 24 through May 7. With prior arrangement, locals may pickup orders through Wednesday, April 27.
When my shop is open, I will continue to offer front porch pickup for local customer orders, but due to family needs and our ever changing ferry schedule, it will be challenging for me to commit to a regular weekday. However, with flexibility on your end and determination on mine, we will find days and times that work.
Please accept my heartfelt gratitude for the patience afforded me during weeks of silence. To those who sent notes of care and concern during my father’s illness, know your support buoyed me up and kept me going during many challenging days. Thank you so much.

I tried to add my free sample of Organic Cherry Rose Sencha, but it didn’t put it on my order of the 2 teas. Also, I sent email – want Front Porch Delivery, not mailed. Please give me your address again.

Darling Dori––
Thinking of you, Leslie, and your dear father. All of you in the lovely little tea shop in Freeland, in my memory. Donna Rettig and I at a pretty table by the window, getting an infusion of the love and warmth of the place. Life brings us changes––we cycle through people and places, but your love and warmth still reach out. Many hugs, and my best to Leslie––Dot
