Warm greetings to you! Welcome to my little home on the web. However you may have found your way here, I am so happy to have you visit.
About me….
I live on an island, at the edge of the forest, a stone’s throw from the Salish Sea. For more than 25 years my husband and I, and our two grown boys, have called this lovely piece of Washington State home. I work from a small studio, painted the color of the early morning sky. There I write, blend teas and herbs for my small business, and happily create all manner of things. My garden and the nearby woods are a constant source of contentment, inspiration, mystery and magic.
After many years of juggling a business on one site, and a blog on another, I have finally combined everything in one place, and I am so pleased and relieved. This is so much simpler to manage and feels so freeing!
On my shop pages you will find many of the classic teas, house blends and herbs my customers have long favored (since 1998!) with an emphasis on organic and ethically sourced. You will find a small assortment of basic tea wares, as well as my own hand-blended herbals and small batch products. Many herbs and flowers incorporated into my items are harvested from my own expanding gardens or wildcrafted locally, and due to the nature of herbs and flowers, some items are only available seasonally.
On my blog I will write occasionally about my business and products, but more often my writing will simply be about my life; my doings, the beings I love, the Earth I adore. I am a reader, gardener, hedge witch; a tree hugging cooker, sewer, knitter, baker, and…. even soap and candlestick maker. I’m never in want of something to do, which leads to far too many projects and the never-ending need to tidy up, which I do rather poorly my husband would tell you. Such is life with someone who never, ever wants to stop learning and growing. : )
So again, welcome. Come back and visit, I’d be honored. And someday perhaps, we can sit and share a lovely pot of tea.
